Jonathan Brown joined the staff of the Rebels following his playing career with the organization that lasted from 2012 until 2014. In 2015, Brown was named as the Head Coach of the Rebels developmental team called the Blue Sharks.

As a player for the Rebels, Brown helped guide the team to three straight FBA championship games, including the 2012 team which won the FBA Championship. During his time as a player, the Rebels compiled a record of 34-7.

Prior to joining the Rebels organization, Brown was a collegiate standout at the University of Tampa. Brown, who played 4 seasons with the Spartans, led the team to 3 NCAA Division II National Tournament appearances, including a semi-final appearance in 2001. He was a twice named to the First Team All-Sunshine State Conference team, and was named as the SSC Player of the Year for the 2001-2002 season. That same year, he was recognized as a 2nd Team All-American choice and the Division II Bulletin National Player of the Year. Brown currently ranks in the top 10 of several categories at the University of Tampa including three-point field goals made, three-point field goals attempted, assists, minutes played, minutes per game, and games started.
